The oyster mushroom is the second most commonly cultivated mushroom in Poland and worldwide, after the button mushroom. Its delicate flavor and firm, springy texture make it an excellent ingredient in both traditional and modern cuisine. Oyster mushrooms are well suited for frying, stewing, baking, and grilling, as well as for marinating or preparing fillings. Thanks to their structure, they are particularly valued in plant-based cuisine, where they often serve as a meat substitute. Oyster mushrooms are a rich source of protein, dietary fiber, B-group vitamins, and minerals such as potassium and iron.
