Jantex Foodservice Group is committed to sustainable environmental development. The impact of our company on energy consumption and the use of renewable energy sources is extremely important to us—driven both by noble ideals and by the need to ensure the company’s independence in order to guarantee continuity and security of our production. In public discussions on the economy, increasing attention is being paid to excessive greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution, primarily caused by the combustion of coal and other traditional fuels. Modern, growing enterprises must take care not only of high product and service quality and securing resources, but also of corporate social responsibility.

Among consumers, there is a growing group of people for whom environmental issues matter. Increased interest in ecological matters also influences corporate policies and certification bodies, which are imposing ever-higher requirements on companies participating in supply chains. In today’s market conditions—characterized by intense competition and global access to resources—many companies seek ways to stand out from their competitors. As a result, competitive advantage is no longer defined solely by price. Increasingly important are product quality, order fulfillment time, and company policies regarding environmental and social impact.

CSR at Jantex Group

For this reason, Jantex has been implementing a policy based on the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) rooted in sustainable development. According to the definition created by the European Commission, CSR is the responsibility of enterprises for their direct and indirect impact on society. In the spirit of this idea, beyond increasing profits, environmental issues as well as social and ethical aspects are of great importance to us. We strive to implement this perspective not only in the management of our own company, but also by verifying the policies of our suppliers to ensure we understand the sources we rely on. Our involvement in developing renewable energy solutions for businesses, seeking opportunities for subsidies, and continuously upgrading our machinery park with more energy-efficient equipment fits perfectly into the concept of socially responsible management.

For us, this approach is one way to build competitiveness in the market while also ensuring a better future for all. It is worth noting that we have observed how our approach positively influences our business environment, as well as work quality and efficiency. In addition to the image-related benefits and reduced negative environmental impact already mentioned, switching to alternative energy sources also provides economic benefits and a greater sense of stability. Furthermore, investing in additional renewable energy solutions is intended to help us achieve full energy independence. Alternative energy sources already constitute a significant share of the energy resources we use, as such solutions have been gradually implemented at Jantex for several years. For us, introducing these solutions and using our own transport fleet means a lower carbon footprint, quality assurance, self-sufficiency, and security in the event of disruptions to standard energy supplies.

How do we do it?

  • We establish long-term business relationships with local suppliers to support the local economy, shorten supply chains, and reduce delivery times.
  • Thanks to our modern, in-house transport fleet, we deliver goods according to customer requirements and ensure proper transport conditions and quality control. Our vehicles do not return empty, which ensures an efficient logistics department.
  • We continuously improve our machinery park and production lines with new, energy-efficient and environmentally friendly solutions, such as replacing lighting with LED systems, optimizing ventilation processes, and enhancing and streamlining the drying process. This year, we plan investments in modern, advanced technologies that will improve our production processes and optimize energy resource consumption while increasing efficiency.
  • The company already operates its own photovoltaic farm, which we plan to expand in the near future to fully cover our energy needs.

It is also worth noting that, in addition to using unconventional energy sources, the company has taken energy efficiency into account when designing and constructing new buildings. Modern wind turbines have been installed on the company’s roof and are currently in the testing phase. For 2022/2023, the company plans investments in a heat pump and modern cogeneration solutions to enable the accumulation and management of energy generated by its own solar field.

Our company has clearly defined goals for improving energy efficiency and achieving independence. These objectives are an integral part of our business, and we believe they will contribute to improving the company’s economic performance while simultaneously supporting efforts to reduce our impact on the natural environment.
