Adopted at the EU summit in December 2020, the European Green Deal poses a major challenge for the Polish economy and businesses. In connection with the Fit for 55 package, it is therefore necessary to gradually implement changes in order to introduce products with a lower carbon footprint to the market.
As Polish entrepreneurs and a company engaged in the processing of dried mushrooms, we are beginning to think intensively about and invest in the use of low-emission energy sources, moving toward new and best solutions for our company. Our greatest demand in the processing process is heat, and it is precisely for economic and environmentally friendly ways of obtaining it that we are seeking alternatives.
One of the new solutions we are currently implementing in our company is gas-fired cogeneration, which will allow us to use primary energy much more efficiently than in the case of conventional energy production. In addition, as members of the Greater Poland Hydrogen Platform, we are also closely examining innovative solutions focused on the use of clean hydrogen. The past month has been particularly fruitful in promising meetings aimed at advancing these plans.
Thank you for introducing us to the idea of hydrogen at the H2POLAND | Poznań | trade fair and during visits by specialists in this field, namely:
- Prof. Michał Wieczorowski, DSc, Eng.
- Jacek Bogusławski – Member of the Board of the Wielkopolska Region (jacekboguslawski.pl)
