Today, we can already boast a fully operational production and warehouse management system — JantexApp. It is our youngest achievement, still in its early stages, but one we are proud of, as it is already beginning to deliver the desired results, including:
- Digitization of the processing and warehousing workflow. In line with our commitment to minimizing our organization’s carbon footprint, we strive to reduce the number of printed documents by replacing them with electronic data. Soon, all operations at every workstation will be reported exclusively via the JantexApp module.
- The implementation of the application optimizes production and warehouse processes and provides us with quick access to all essential information.
- Improved production planning and determination of the correct EOQ for our raw materials — all aimed at ultimately improving our guaranteed lead time for customers.
- Access to data obtained directly from production enables rapid response in the event of failures or quality issues.
- Easy and efficient product traceability at every stage of production.
JantexApp story in a nutshell
Over recent years, technology has developed rapidly, and the market has seen a vast number of software solutions designed to support business operations. Customers and certification bodies impose high requirements regarding control over the origin, processing, and documentation of operations that raw materials undergo before becoming final products. To meet these requirements, over the past year we searched for a solution that would help organize and consolidate all information from the processing workflow in one place, while also providing us with a tool for data analysis. However, off-the-shelf software solutions proved to be insufficiently flexible for our unique production processes. As a result, we decided to develop our own dedicated application, tailored directly to our needs and the technological processes implemented at JANTEX Foodservice Group. We achieved this thanks to the work of our team.
The application is our new solution and is still under continuous development, with further stages, improvements, and new ideas being implemented to enhance our operations. The ongoing modernization of our machinery park and the planned expansion of CIM technology usage for 2022/2023 also contribute to the continuous redevelopment and enhancement of our tool — an application integrated with the ERP system. Building and automating processes allows us to obtain real-time information and continuously analyze data to improve production quality and capacity. The adoption of new technologies has become essential, and Jantex continues to evolve in step with the times to meet customer expectations.
Key functionalities we have planned:
- WAREHOUSE module (Continuous inventory management) — a specialized year-round stocktaking solution implemented to maintain control over processed goods and production costs. The warehouse module also includes product labeling, control of goods leaving the warehouse, and real-time inventory status, enabling more effective production planning for our customers.
- COLD STORAGE module — automation of goods receipt, release to production, FIFO queues, control of waste quantities, and monitoring of finished product volumes.
- DRYING module — automation of control over goods entering and leaving the drying process, monitoring the work of sorting staff, FIFO control, and real-time tracking of production status and packaging processes.
- TRACEABILITY module — information on dates, quantities, and pallet numbers of received, processed, and dispatched goods.
- QUALITY module — reliable quantitative and qualitative information about delivered raw materials, creation of a supplier database accessible within the system, full pallet traceability throughout the production process, and the ability to report and document issues and test results at every stage of production.
